This is a free demo version of Earth vs MarsThe year is 2335. The Earth has been depleted of all fossil fuels for centuries, but great advances in science have allowed Terrans to begin using Lunar Helium-3 reacted with deuterium to produce vast amounts of energy. Helium-3 is abundant and readily available on the Moon. When it is combined with deuterium it creates nuclear fusion similar to the energy provided by the Sun itself. Just one space shuttle filled with Lunar Helium-3 in the 20th century would have provided enough energy to power the entire United States for one year.Mining the Earth’s Moon would have created other problems, mainly offsetting the delicate gravitational balance that exits between the two and is critical to life on Earth. (not to mention it would hurt the Eco tourism industry on the moon mining operations would destroy the wonderful view.) So the Terrains have ventured out to the asteroid belt to mine the asteroids there. It wasn’t long before Earth’s mining vessels found themselves under attack from an unknown enemy, the Martians. The Martians who had remained hidden for years in their underground cities now considered the Earth for the first time a threat. Earth and Mars are now locked in an Arms race to gain control of the Lunar Helium-3, the asteroid belt, and ultimately the Solar System. Both sides believe they are fighting for their very existence.
